Miami County residents seeking winter crisis, HEAP, or PIPP assistance can call the scheduling system at 937-200-8969 to get an appointment, schedule an appointment online, or, starting November 1, 2025, walk-ins for emergency situations will be available. Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and depending on availability, up to 5 walk-in appointments will be available each morning: first-come, first-served. Applicants who are only applying for HEAP or PIPP may continue to drop off applications at the office drop boxes (front and rear accessible location) in lieu of seeing someone in person.
The Public Housing program is subsidized housing for eligible low-income individuals, and families, making 80% of area median income or less. Owned, operated, and maintained by Miami Metropolitan Housing Authority through its Public Housing department, this program consists of two housing sites in Troy, and one housing site in Piqua, with a total of 127 units.
