HUD Housing Scam Alert Notice

Recently we've been made aware of Section 8 wait list applicants receiving emails from "HUD Housing" requesting registration and personal information to continue their participation.

At this point in time, Miami Metropolitan Housing Authority does not request registration or personal information via email links or phone. We do not currently have a tenant portal that would require registration. All of our correspondence is done through mail.

Please be cautious if you receive emails stating you must provide information to continue your place on our wait list, and be aware that there is no "fast track" to receiving your voucher any sooner. Once you are pulled from the wait list, you will receive a letter in the mail.

If you have applied for assistance in another county, please verify that the housing authority in question does or does not have a tenant portal before entering any of your personal information.
